About

Built around the whiteboard

Walk into almost any shelter and there's a board on the wall with the dogs written on it. It works — everyone can see it, nobody needs training, and it survives a dead battery. It just can't be in two places at once, and it doesn't remember anything.

ShelterBoard started from the belief that the whiteboard had the right idea and the wrong medium. So the app doesn't try to be a shelter management system. It does the board's job: show every dog, show who's out, make it one tap to change that, and keep what happened.

Everything about it is shaped by where it gets used. Buttons clear 44 pixels because the person tapping is holding a leash in their other hand. The colors are your shelter's. The board refreshes on its own so nobody has to think about reloading.
